Elonex Partners with Worcestershire County Cricket Club
Elonex Sport and Worcestershire County Cricket Club (WCCC) recently agreed a five-and-a-half year partnership announcing Elonex Sport as the Official & Exclusive: LED Supplier and LED Advertising Agent.
Elonex Sport replaced the existing scoreboard near the new Graeme Hick Pavilion with a new state-of-the-art 30-square metre Jumbo LED scoreboard. The recent improvement commenced on Sunday, 17th June at the Friends Life t20 (FLt20) match versus Gloucestershire, where Worcestershire won by 47 runs.
The new scoreboard provides an up-to-the minute match day score and could potentially present replays, highlights, statistical information, as well as exceptional sponsorship and advertising opportunities.
This is the first of numerous developments which will take place over the next few seasons at New Road, as the two partners pave the way through this digital revolution. Elonex Sport looks forward to significantly building their relationship with the entire club, including board members, management, coaching and playing staff, as well as increasing involvement in community projects alongside WCCC.
Elonex Sport’s initial investment into WCCC will expand the firm’s investment into Worcestershire County sport to more than £400-thousand for the 2012 season alone.
"We are absolutely delighted to have agreed this partnership arrangement with Worcestershire County Cricket Club,” Richard Everton, Business Development of Elonex Sport, said. “It demonstrates the driving ambition that Elonex Sports possess to be involved in the whole sporting life and community within our home Three Counties and beyond. We are really excited about building our relationship with this famous, forward thinking and picturesque Cricket Club over the next few years.”
WCCC Chief Executive David Leatherdale commented, “We are delighted to be working with Elonex Sport and hope that our new association and introduction of a new LED screen as our primary scoreboard, will over time, allow us to enhance the spectators experience at all forms of cricket, whilst creating additional revenue generating opportunities that not presently available to the Club.
Elonex Sport comes with a wealth of experience in the digital world and we look forward to working with them over the coming years as we continue to develop our New Road ground.”
